Greater Palm Bay Chamber Expands Staff

The Greater Palm Bay Chamber is pleased to announce three new additions to their staff according to Chamber president Victoria Northrup. In September, April Gentile was appointed as senior marketing specialist. In December Lucinda Earls accepted the position of senior accounting specialist and Chuck Soderstrom, was appointed director of sales.

Gentile has worked in the non-profit sector in Brevard County for the past three years most recently as a community director for March of Dimes Space Coast division. She has also held several marketing positions in the banking industry including Citigroup/Citibank in New York. She will manage the chamber events and communications.

Earls, in the finance sector for twelve years, will head up the accounting department handling all finance for the chamber. She also brings non-profit experience and holds a B.A. degree from the State of Ohio in Business Administration.

Soderstrom brings over two decades of sales experience to the chamber, most of which was spent in the publishing sector where he was director of marketing and general manager for one of the largest publishing distribution centers in the US. He brings social media and behavioral marketing talents to his new position.

The Greater Palm Bay Chamber of Commerce, formed in 1989, has more than 900 active, courtesy and prospective members and is accredited with the US Chamber of Commerce with a four-star ranking, a distinguished honor bestowed to select Chambers and the only chamber in the US aligned with an international “sister” chamber in Cashel, Ireland.

The 2012 Palm Bay Chamber Trustees include: Health First, Waste Management, City of Palm Bay, Florida Power and Light Company, Intersil, Comfort Suites, WMS Construction and Yellow Book.

The monthly networking luncheon meets the first Wednesday of each month and held at the Life Care Center of Palm Bay at 175 Villa Nueva Ave NE off Malabar Road just west of the Palm Bay Hospital. Additional Palm Bay Chamber events include grand openings, ribbon cuttings, Business After Hours and the annual Signature Events including the Media Auction and Celebrate Brevard Food and Wine Tasting Extravaganza, the largest of its kind in south Brevard.
