Installation Dinner and Awards Banquet Planned for The Greater Palm Bay Chamber

The Greater Palm Bay Chamber of Commerce is planning their Installation Dinner and Awards Banquet for January 14th at the Health-First Palm Bay Community Hospital according to Victoria Northrup, Chamber president & CEO.

The 2011 Board of Directors will be installed that evening with Lee Feldman, Palm Bay city manager officiating. County Judge Ali Majeed and Clerk of Courts Mitch Needelman are both scheduled speakers for the evening which kicks off at 6PM.

The annual Small and Large Businesses of the Year, Distinguished Service and Volunteer of the Year winners will be announced that evening. This year the organization started a new category, the Golden Palm Award, which is bestowed upon one committee that has shown exceptional growth and success throughout the year. In addition a short Year in Review video will be shown summarizing the many events and activities including ribbon cuttings for new businesses that the Chamber and city officials participated in throughout the year.

“The annual Installation Dinner is always well attended by business and civic leaders,” stated Northrup. “And this event should garner even more enthusiasm with the addition of a new award category.”

The sponsors for the complimentary wine and beer include Teri Blevins, founder and realtor, Skip Allgood, founder and owner of Shuttle Carts and Milo Zonka, incoming board member and owner of Zonka & Associates Financial Strategies. Cost is $40 per person or $70 per couple. Tables may also be reserved.
