Palm Bay City Hall Annex Grand Opening and Media Auction Planned

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: (Palm Bay, FL. September 13, 2011) – The City of Palm Bay has announced the grand opening and ribbon cutting for their new city hall annex according to Sue Hann, City Manager for the city of Palm Bay. Certified General Contractors, the company selected to construct the three-story 28,000 square foot annex, is organizing and hosting the event along with the Greater Palm Bay Chamber of Commerce. The chamber will also hold a live Media Auction that evening according to Chamber president Victoria Northrup. The grand opening, ribbon cutting and media auction is scheduled for October 7, 2011 from 5:00 – 7:30 pm at the Palm Bay City Hall Annex.

Members of the Palm Bay Chamber report from prior year’s auctions a saving upwards of 90% off significant media buys such as broadcast and radio spots, print display ads in local publications and outdoor advertising. In addition, opportunities to purchase stationery packages, business cards, photography, public relations and marketing specialty items are on the auction block as well.

The evening will kick off with a press conference at 4pm followed by the official ribbon cutting and dedication to the annex which has been under construction for the better part of the year. Certified General Contractors is handling the construction for the project and is hosting the ribbon cutting. City and county officials throughout Brevard are invited and will be in attendance that evening. The event is open to the public as well.

Regular Chamber events include ribbon cuttings, Business After Hours and the Monthly Networking Luncheon which meets the first Wednesday of each month at the Life Care Center of Palm Bay at 175 Villa Nueva Ave NE off Malabar Road

The Greater Palm Bay Chamber of Commerce, formed in 1989, has more than 900 active, courtesy and prospective members and is accredited with the US Chamber of Commerce with a four-star ranking, a distinguished honor bestowed to select Chambers and the only chamber in the US aligned with an international “sister” chamber in Cashel, Ireland.

The 2011 Palm Bay Chamber Trustees include Globe Wireless, Health First, Waste Management, City of Palm Bay, TD Bank, Done Right Contracting, Florida Power and Light Company, Intersil, Comfort Suites, WMS Construction and Yellow Book.
