World Class Professional Boxing Heading to Palm Bay

15-Jan-2012

Second Year All Star Boxing Brings Internationally Televised Event

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: (Palm Bay, FL. January 5, 2012) – The Greater Palm Bay Chamber, All Star Boxing and the Tourist Development Commission of the Space Coast announced they are bringing the AAA World Championship Boxing Matches back to Palm Bay on February 10th. Doors open at 7:30pm. The one-night event will be held at the city’s Community Center at 1502 Port Malabar Blvd NE in Palm Bay. Tickets are $20 for stands and $35 for ringside and are available in advance on the Palm Bay Chamber website, www.greaterpalmbaychamber.com or by calling 321-951-9998. Tickets may also be purchased at the door and are subject to availability.

“This high-profile exciting event will once again place Palm Bay in the international spotlight,” stated Victoria Northrup, president for the Palm Bay Chamber. “Televised live into 62 countries that evening, our city, chamber and sponsors will enjoy exposure into a highly-Latino market.”

This is the second year that All Star Boxing is bringing the Telemundo/NBC broadcast event to Palm Bay. Last year the event brought in close to 1,000 attendees for eight-bout matches which surpassed all expectations.

“We have a commitment to the community of Palm Bay. We are bringing Las Vegas quality professional championship boxing to the community. At the same time we want to help stimulate the local economy by bringing in folks from all over the state to come and spend money at local business and stay in local hotels. Last year with just the network production crew and athletes we secured over 350 rooming nights, this excluded fans that traveled from surrounding parts of the state. We’re excited”, stated Ruben De Jesus from All Star Boxing, Inc.

“It’s exciting to hear that the Greater Palm Bay Chamber, the Space Coast TDC, and All Star Boxing in conjunction with Telemundo will be returning again this year for a second round of boxing entertainment right here in Palm Bay, Florida,” said US Congressman Bill Posey. “I applaud their efforts to attract events such as this one which will raise our profile around the world as a premier travel destination and provide a boost to local businesses.”

Sponsorships are available at the $250, $500 and $1,000 levels according to Palm Bay Chamber president, Victoria Northrup. The deadline to sponsor is January 21st. The event is also offering one opportunity for a company to be the Premier Sponsor that includes the official weigh-in at the company’s place of business, fourteen ringside seats, speaking opportunity and prime placement and mentions of company information on all marketing materials.

Interested companies wishing to sponsor the event may contact the Palm Bay Chamber at 321-951-9998 Monday through Friday 9am to 5pm.
